"The Mormon Church was founded on April 6, 1830, The Nauvoo Temple was dedicated on April 6 and the Mormon Church teaches that the birth of Christ actually was April 6 (thoughthey celebrate it on December 25).
On April 6, 1840, the present Grand Lodge of Illinois was formed by the Mormon Patriarch, Judge and General James Adams. The first five Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and Lorenzo Snow were all made Masons in Nauvoo Lodge."
